I just wanted to share a vivid memory of Levi. In the year after we purchased our Chabad house Levi spent many yomim tovim by us. He was our chazan Yomim Noraiim, helped with family events, ran matzah bakery etc... One time at a Lag B'omer barbecue a teenager remarked that he never knew a kosher burger could taste so good and refused to buy kosher bec it was senseless... Levi overheard and immediately a lively debate about keeping kosher ensued. While others tried to convince this guy with intellectual reasons, Levi suddenly boomed out," You want to know why you should keep kosher? Because you are what you eat! You eat ---, you are a pig- Is that who you really want to be?!" Somehow these sincere words hit the soul and this young man decided to start eating kosher. Today, this man is married, his children go to yeshiva and when he heard about Levi he was in tears..
